Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the Memvi mobile app ("the App"). By using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

1. What the App is

The App is an English vocabulary study aid. It offers picture flashcards, spaced review and optional exam word packs (such as SAT, GRE and IELTS vocabulary). Study materials and AI memory tricks are study aids only. They do not guarantee any exam score or language outcome. SAT is a registered trademark of College Board; GRE and TOEFL are registered trademarks of ETS; IELTS is a trademark of its owners. None of them is affiliated with, endorses or sponsors Memvi.

2. Subscriptions and one-time purchases

• Memvi Pro is offered as auto-renewable subscriptions and as a one-time purchase. Example US prices (your App Store storefront may differ): yearly at $39.99 with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers; monthly at $9.99 with no trial; lifetime at $99.99 one-time; and an earned yearly offer at $29.99 with a 7-day free trial for eligible users, shown only when that offer is available. Prices shown in the App before purchase control.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Family Sharing is not included.
• Your own words and reviews remain available without a subscription. Memvi Pro unlocks full exam packs, higher levels, a higher daily new-word pace and more AI memory tricks for your own words, as shown in the App.

3. Refund request data

If you are 18 or older and turn on "Share Usage for Refunds" in Settings, then when you ask Apple for a refund, information about how you used the App may be shared with Apple through our subscription provider to help Apple decide the request. This setting is off by default and you can turn it off at any time.

4. AI features

Some features use third-party AI (OpenAI) through our server to make memory tricks or spoken examples from text you provide. Results can be inaccurate or incomplete. Check important information before you rely on it. AI features require your consent, are unavailable under age 13, and are described further in the Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use

Do not copy, resell or redistribute the App's content, reverse engineer the App, or use it in a way that breaks the law. Do not submit personal data about others into AI features.

6. Intellectual property

The App, its text, design, software and study materials belong to us or our licensors. Exam names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for any exam result, grade or loss arising from use of the App. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer law.

8. Apple

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. In addition to these Terms, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to your use of the App.
