Privacy Policy

Memvi does not require an account. Your words and study progress stay on your device. This policy explains the limited data that leaves your device and why.
1. Data stored on your device
Your word lists, review history, study plan, settings and reminders are stored only on your device. If iCloud Backup is on for this iPhone, that backup may include them. You can export a copy or erase everything with Settings, Your Data, Delete All Data.
2. A random app ID
On first launch the App creates a random identifier that is not linked to your name, email or phone. It is used to restore purchases and to connect the services below. It is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites. The purchase and analytics services may also use a device identifier generated for this App (not the advertising identifier).
3. Services we use
- Purchases (RevenueCat, Apple): to process and restore purchases, we and RevenueCat receive purchase and subscription status, product, price, country and the random app ID. Payment details are handled by Apple and never reach us.
- Usage analytics (Amplitude): only if you allow it in the App's privacy choices, we record how the App is used (for example, which screens are opened and study sessions completed) with the random app ID, to improve the App. We never include your words or notes. IP addresses are not stored by our configuration. You can turn this off in Settings, Privacy Controls.
- Crash reports (Sentry): only if you allow it, technical crash data (device model, OS version, error details) and performance data (for example, app start time and slow screens) are sent to help us fix bugs.
- AI memory tricks and example voice (OpenAI, through our server): only after you allow AI features, and never for users under 13. When you ask for a memory trick or spoken example, we send only the text needed (your word, its meaning, your note or example) through our Cloudflare Worker at portfolio-worker.insk-ma.workers.dev to OpenAI. It is not used to train AI models or for ads. We delete that text within 30 days (current retention figure).
- Content downloads: when the App downloads a word pack, our content server receives a standard web request.
4. Refund request data
Only if you are 18 or older and turn on "Share Usage for Refunds", usage information may be shared with Apple through RevenueCat when you request a refund. It is off by default.
5. Children and teens
The App uses Apple's age range feature. If a user is under 13, purchases, analytics, crash reporting and AI features are turned off (Limited mode). For users under 18, the refund data option is not available. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
6. Sharing and selling
We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for advertising. Service providers above process data only to provide their services to us.
7. Retention and deletion
Delete All Data erases data on your device and asks our Worker to delete server records linked to your random app ID (including purchase event records and AI request logs we hold). Analytics and crash data are kept only as long as needed to improve the App and are then deleted by the providers' retention settings. AI request text we hold is deleted within 30 days. 8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have rights to access, delete or correct your information and to opt out of certain processing. Contact us and we will respond within the time required by law.
